NCS Ltd Forges Ahead Despite Loss of Founders

Since the inception of Nigeria’s first cleaning company, the industry has undergone significant growth and advancement, though there remains ample room for improvement.

Despite this progress, the recent passing of one of the pioneering figures in Nigeria’s janitorial sector, Marion Sheila Johnson, who slept in death on Saturday 27th January 2024 marks the end of an era. Alongside her late husband, Mosanya Johnson (who died more than 20 years ago), Marion was instrumental in establishing Nigeria Cleaning Service Limited in 1957/58.

While her loss is deeply felt, it also signals a transition to a new era. The responsibility now falls upon the next generation to carry forward the legacy, leadership, and vision of Marion(MSJ), Mosanya(MOJ) and others like them. This shift presents an opportunity for the industry to evolve and reach new heights, driving economic growth and societal impact.

In line with this commitment, the current leadership and dedicated staff of Nigeria Cleaning Service Limited are steadfast in their resolve to uphold the company’s pioneering position within the facilities management industry. Expanding its repertoire far beyond the routine cleaning of offices and residences, the company now offers an array of essential services. These include refuse collection and segregation, sewage evacuation, septic tank cleaning, fumigation, de-ratting, decontamination, swimming pool maintenance, and building upkeep, among others.

The vision and foresight of the late founders, Pa Mosanya and Mrs. Sheila Johnson, continue to guide the company toward a future marked by innovation and excellence. With their legacy as inspiration, Nigeria Cleaning Service Limited is poised to lead the industry into a new era of comprehensive and sustainable facility management solutions.
