Who We Are
NCS is a household name in Nigeria’s industrial and commercial life. It is more or less true to say that Nigeria Cleaning Service epitomizes the Nigerian Cleaning Industry dates back to 1958 but is now a leader in the cleaning and facility management
industry.
In 2003, NCS became the foremost cleaning company in Nigeria, providing cleaning services to local companies, blue-chip companies and also providing Crude Oil Storage Tank Cleaning for the Oil Companies in Nigeria and West Africa 2004.
NIGERIA CLEANING SERVICE LIMITED (NCS) is a household name in Nigeria’s industrial and commercial life. It is more or less true to say that Nigeria Cleaning Service epitomizes the Nigerian Cleaning Industry. In a large measure indeed by any yardstick, the history of the cleaning industry in this country is the history of the NIGERIA CLEANING SERVICE and vice- versa.
Back in 1958, the idea of providing office- cleaning service as a commercial proposition was unheard of in this country and sounded a ludicrous proposition to nine out of ten people. Yet a courageous Nigerian Mosanya Omosanya Johnson and his English born wife, Marion, were poised to break an established myth.
The Johnsons started on a small scale through cleaning of office windows at the Lagos metropolis. Selling their services seemed tough at first, due to the novelty of their idea. With time, they received’ tremendous encouragement from a couple of commercial houses and business leaders who could grapple with the fundamentals of what the Johnsons were doing.
One of these- to whom they feel so indebted to was Mr R C. lrvinq- Founder of the Real Estate Firm of R. C.lrving & Co., and leading member of the Lagos State Chamber of Commerce who went to the farthest extent possible to encourage them in their endeavour to build up office cleaning as a worthwhile industry in Nigeria. Way back in 1958 when the
Johnsons launched their revolutionary office cleaning business, about the only thing they did not lack was courage. The springing up of skyscraper buildings in the Lagos metropolis was a good omen for -NCS as they were awarded contracts, which launched them into big time business on a full scale.
